Students at The Perse have achieved the school’s best-ever GCSE results with 58 per cent of entries graded at 9, 83 per cent at 8 or 9, and 94 per cent at 7 to 9.

Twenty-two students achieved a clean sweep of 9 grades. Eighty-eight students, 45 per cent of the cohort, secured all 8 and 9 grades.

One hundred and forty-five students (just under three quarters of the year group), achieved all grades 7-9, which is the equivalent of A*-A under the previous grading system.

Perse students also achieved the top marks nationally in OCR GCSE Geography, OCR GCSE Music and OCR GCSE Ancient History.

Principal and head of the upper school, Ed Elliott, said: “I am delighted that the talents and hard work of our GCSE students have been recognised in these record-breaking results. It is wonderful to see so many students achieving at such high levels, and I congratulate the students and their teachers on these excellent outcomes.”
