We’ll bring you live updates throughout the day, including school‑by‑school results, analysis and the key points shaping this year’s outcomes.
Aimee, Eluka and Annan celebrate their results at Coleridge Community College Picture: Keith HeppellCllr Edna Murphy, chair of Cambridgeshire County Council’s children and young people committee, said: “Well done to all the children in Cambridgeshire who sat their GCSEs this year and are receiving their results today. We live in a world with so much noise and distraction for young people, so I’m extremely proud of what they have achieved.
“This is a milestone moment in your life, and I hope these results are proof of what you can accomplish when you put your mind to something and work hard to achieve it.
“I’d also like to congratulate the teachers and families that have worked tirelessly over the last few years, supporting pupils to do their very best.
“Grades do not always reflect how hard a student has worked, so for anyone feeling unhappy over their results today, please know there is help available to support you as you make decisions about your next steps.
“I am wishing you all the very best of luck as you progress towards your future.”
