This is a bit of a fallacy.If you go SSD only, then your SSD needs to support SMART attribute 0xBE if it only supports 0xC2, you will get the noise.As long as *SOMETHING* in there has 0xBE, you should be OK. e.g. SSD for the OS, HDD for capacity. What I ended up with is a couple of Intel SSDs that have manly firmware and then generic SSDs for the rest. (This is an ML30 G10 with 6 SSDs only.You also not need their "agentless management service agent" which is completely misnamed and just annoying... Yes, if you have linux (pretty much any linux, I use debian myself) or windows it's nice to have, but completely unnecessary.  Forget about opening a ticket for this, HPE support were completely unable to answer the important questions about what the hell "HD Max" is, what it is smoking and why it is so completely WRONG and it was such a waste of time that I gave the DL20 to a friend.
