Sky stream has removed the connection to WiFi and my remote doesn’t work and neither does Sky app

My sky stream has disconnected from the WiFi and my sky remote app will not work either as the sky stream is not connected to my internet. My internet is working fine just my remote hasn't worked for a while so I've been using the remote app and that's now disconnected from my internet. Therefore I am paying for sky stream that I am unable to use and I am not wanting to pay out for a new remote when I was happy using the remote app.
