• So the comment line has run its course and lost its value in an era of growing divisiveness. Most people I know who read your paper spend the few minutes it takes to read the comment line to keep tabs on what people are thinking without having to identify themselves. Many of us will miss the comment line and mourn its passing.

• No, not the call-in line. That’s my favorite part of the paper. That and the one comic strip I still read.

• This is in regards to the demise of the TC Line. Well, it’s unfortunate, but I get it. The TC Line has lately been just a series of repetitive, often ill-informed, opinions about the airport or the council, etc., etc. So, it’s outlived its usefulness. My hope is that you will find something more useful and informative to put in its place.

• First, the Times-Call dropped Johnny St. Vrain. Now, the Times-Call is dropping the TC Line. Why don’t we drop the Times-Call? They obviously don’t care about what people really enjoy reading in our community.

• I actually learned some things through the TC Line. Some call-ins even persuaded me to change my stance on some issues. It broadened my horizons. It will be missed.

• My husband and I have enjoyed the TC Line. Its value to us is mainly entertainment, but sometimes has delivered good information. We will miss it.

• I understand that the Times-Call is going to discontinue the TC Line in the paper. That really don’t surprise me, because you are a liberal newspaper. Liberals don’t believe in free speech. Way to go, Times-Call.

• I’m really sorry to see the Times-Call Line go. I use the local newspaper to be informed of local issues, and even though it is divisive, I think it’s important to know what both sides are thinking. I can’t help but think that the reason it’s going is partially financial. It is a great community service to have this.

• I’m old and I’m grumpy and I’m very very sad to see that the TC Line is going to be discontinued. Thank you for all the years of enjoyment of reading your column.

• You should never have allowed anonymous potshots on national politics in the TC Line. That’s what brought it down to tabloid clickbait level, and made it embarrassing for the Times-Call newspaper.

If those pushing the train tax initiative already have the cash to start operation in northern Colorado, why not let that happen and then let those in southern Colorado vote themselves to fund the transportation initiative once they see how well it works here?

Speeding tickets on 119. They’re not just for the construction work. They are for always, because if you’ve driven that road on a regular basis, people are flying on that road, and there are accidents, so that is not going to end the cameras, because they’re trying to get people to slow down to cut down on accidents.
