MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes have won another gold medal at the UIPM 2026 Tetrathlon U15 and Pentathlon U19 World Championships in Madrid, BelTA has learned.

On Monday, 24 August, the men’s U19 relay took place in the Spanish capital. The best result among 18 duos was achieved by Akim Gnedtchik and Aliaksandr Chuyashkou, who scored a total of 1,447 points across all disciplines. At the finish, the Belarusians were 11 seconds ahead of the Ukrainians and 34 seconds ahead of Turkiye. The day before, in the same event, Nikol Hulevich and Palina Bubnova finished fifth.

Earlier, Akim Gnedtchik’s younger brother Klim became a two-time world champion in the U15 relays, while today the brothers’ older sister Mariya Gnedtchik won relay gold at the UIPM 2026 Pentathlon World Championships in China. The UIPM 2026 Tetrathlon U15 and Pentathlon U19 World Championships in Madrid will run through 28 August, after which the participants will compete in the individual events. So far, the Belarusian team has won four gold medals.
