Preserve Chattanooga is hosting a public workshop nd concepts testing session on Monday, Aug. 24 from 4:30–6 p.m. in the First Floor Auditorium of the Downtown Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St., as part of the development of a new Chattanooga Preservation Plan. 

Officials said, "The plan is intended to guide how preservation can be used as a tool to support Chattanooga and Hamilton County’s growth while protecting and enhancing the places that make our communities special.
 
"This session marks phase three of the five-phase planning process and is an important opportunity to help shape the recommendations that will ultimately be included in the final plan.

"During the workshop, the Nashville-based consultant team will share findings from the community survey and lead discussions around preservation issues, priorities, and potential strategies.
 
"A new preservation plan for Chattanooga is made possible through generous support from the Lyndhurst Foundation and the Tennessee Historical Commission.

The process is being led by the Walker Collaborative in partnership with Thomason and Associates and Common Ground."
