As researchers and clinicians work more closely to translate discoveries into patient benefit, BMC has launched three new full open access (OA) journals: Immuno-Oncology, Journal of Fibrosis, and Translational and Clinical Neuroinflammation. By providing trusted, dedicated homes for these fast-moving research communities, these launches respond to growing demand and will form part of Springer Nature’s full OA portfolio, which now offers more than 770 journals across six brands.
Selene Carey, Publishing Director, BMC, said:
“Many of today‘s most significant advances in medicine depend on close collaboration between researchers and clinicians. These journals give each community a dedicated home to connect scientific discoveries with clinical practice, ensuring research reaches the people who can build on it.”
All published research will be immediately and freely available worldwide, supporting greater visibility and impact for authors and readers. Across Springer Nature, authors publishing in our full OA journals benefit from increased visibility and impact, with the highest usage among mixed and pure OA publishers and an average of 7.6 citations per article, according to Springer Nature’s latest Open Access Report.
The new journals include:
These journals join Sustainability, Uterine Research and Psychedelic Substances Research, launched earlier this year, building on BMC’s more than 25 years of OA publishing across medicine and the life sciences.
