Jonathan McEvoy's report from Qatar
MailSport's Jonathan McEvoy is in Qatar, and he's sent through the report from today's qualifying session, which saw Max Verstappen take pole for Sunday's big race - which may not be all that big if he can claim a strong finish in tomorrow's Sprint race.
It sounds like Piastri has been dropped to sixth...
The lack of practice time for drivers and teams really hurting them in Qatar. Lots of track times being deleted for going outside the limits.
These are the places for the time being
Couple of incidents that the stewards are looking at post-qualifying... keep an eye out to see if that changes anything for Sunday's race.
