The city will host more than 100 free World Cup watch parties across the five boroughs, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the borough presidents said Thursday.

New Yorkers and visitors alike will be able to come together to watch matches in parks, at plazas and markets, on beaches and more throughout the city.

“This summer, we’re bringing the people’s game directly to the people,” Mayor Zohran Mamdani said in a statement. “From public markets to beaches and parks, we’re turning our city’s public spaces into places where New Yorkers can get together, share a meal, see music and watch the world’s game.”

The announcement comes as each borough also gets ready to host activities in their own “Fan Zones,” where fans can gather to watch matches, enjoy local food and play games in a bustling atmosphere.

The free watch parties are being put on by the city’s Economic Development Corporation, the Parks Department, the Department of Transportation and NYC Tourism + Conventions. For a full schedule, check here.
