The city will host five more World Cup watch parties in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, officials said Wednesday. 

The events are part of an initiative known as “Soccer Streets” that is bringing more than 100 free public watch parties to all five boroughs, Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s office said in a release. 

The festivities, hosted by the city Department of Transportation, allow attendees to watch matches together, see live performances and celebrate their local communities, the release said.

The five newest watch parties will be held at:

• Osborn Plaza in Brooklyn on June 26, 2 p.m. 
• Johnny Hartman Plaza in Manhattan on July 2, 2 p.m. 
• Kensington Plaza in Brooklyn on July 7, 3 p.m. 
• Brooklyn Bridge Arches Plaza in Manhattan on July 10, 2 p.m. 
• Corona Plaza in Queens on July 15, 1:30 p.m. 

“One of the greatest joys of this World Cup has been watching New Yorkers turn our streets into places of celebration, connection and community,” Mamdani said in a statement. “From Corona to Kensington, these watch parties are bringing neighbors together across languages, cultures and backgrounds to share in the world's game.”

“It has been incredible to see neighbors and their families come together on our streets and plazas to enjoy the World Cup,” DOT Commissioner Mike Flynn added in his own statement. “With celebrations underway across the city, we’re thrilled to add more watch parties to help make this summer one to remember.”
