Nate Buchanan, Yarmouth senior long-stick midfield

Buchanan earned All-America status this season as one of the state’s top defenders. He had 45 takeaways while grabbing 65 ground balls. Yarmouth coach Jon Miller praised Buchanan’s ability to check, and his foot speed that helped him defend the state’s top scorers. Buchanan plans to play at Colby College next season.

Ian Christie, Falmouth senior attack

Christie was the top scorer in the Navigators’ potent offense, recording 40 goals and 53 assists. His goal early in the second half of the Class A championship game gave Falmouth the lead for good. Christie plans to attend Harvard in the fall and study biology.

Hayden Davis, Falmouth senior attack

The Varsity Maine Player of the Year, Davis is a Varsity Maine All-State selection for the third straight season. Davis was a key player in the Navigators’ run to the Class A title, scoring 51 goals to go with 32 assists. Davis, who will continue his lacrosse career in college at Lafayette, graduates as the state’s all-time leader in points with 351.

Hayden Demeroto, Marshwood senior attack

Demeroto scored 49 goals to go with 19 assists and 49 ground balls, helping lead Marshwood to its first state title. He scored with 39.1 seconds left to lift the Hawks to an 8-7 victory over York in the Class B final. Demeroto scored his 100th career goal in a win over Windham in early May. He plans to continue his lacrosse career at St. Joseph’s College.

Will Edborg, Thorton Academy senior attack

Edborg was the top scoring threat for the Golden Trojans, tallying 56 goals and 21 assists. A three-year starter, he graduated with 204 career points, including 136 goals. He plans to attend Southern Maine Community College.

Joey Foley, Deering senior midfield

An All-American, Foley was a workhorse for Deering, helping the Rams reach the Class A semifinals and win 11 games. Foley scored 41 goals and dished out 14 assists. Over the past two seasons, Foley tallied 88 goals, and his play was a big reason Deering became a Class A contender. He plans to play lacrosse next year at Plymouth State in New Hampshire.

Grady Hersey, Thornton Academy senior defender

An All-American and repeat selection to the Varsity Maine All-State squad, Hersey is a versatile player. A standout defender, he also grabbed a short stick to join the attack when the Golden Trojans played a man up. Hersey scooped up 98 ground balls and caused 46 turnovers. He scored 12 goals and had 12 assists, and also served as a strong faceoff man. He’ll play collegiate lacrosse at Merrimack.

Peter Kearns, Falmouth senior FOGO

Another repeat All-State player and All-American, Kearns established himself as the top faceoff man in the state, winning possession for his team 78% of the time. His ability to win faceoffs was the pivotal difference in the state final, allowing the Navigators to control the ball and pull away in the second half for the Class A title. Kearns tallied five goals and four assists. He’ll continue his lacrosse career at Colby College.

Ian Minnihan, Yarmouth senior midfield

Minnihan scored 68 goals and had 25 assists to help lead Yarmouth to the Class A final after the Clippers won the Class B championship the previous two seasons. A top dodger and inside finisher, Minnihan was the Clippers’ top midfielder over the past two seasons, according to coach Jon Miller. He plans to attend the University of Tampa.

Will Redfield, Yarmouth senior goalie

A repeat Varsity Maine All-State pick, Redfield also earned All-American honors for the second straight year as a steadying presence in Yarmouth’s net. Redfield posted a 65% save percentage this spring. His quick hands, excellent ball-handling skills and speed completed the Clippers’ strong defensive group. Redfield will continue his lacrosse career at Union College.

Andrew Witham, Messalonskee junior goalie

Witham earned All-American honors after posting a 73% save percentage. The Eagles’ netminder made 196 saves while allowing 73 goals. His play helped Messalonskee win 11 games and earn the No. 2 seed in the Class B tournament. He’ll enter his senior season as one of the state’s top returning players.

Coach of the Year

Adrian Ward, Marshwood: In his first season as coach of the Hawks, Ward helped Marshwood go from 3-11 in 2025 to winning the Class B state championship. It was the first title in team history. The Hawks went 15-2, beating top-seeded Greely in the semifinals and No. 3 York in the state final.
