All bidders can  now access API to search, bid, and buy domains.

GoDaddy has opened its Auctions API to all auction members.

With the updated API, users will be able to bid on auctions and buy Closeouts programmatically.

For example, rather than placing one proxy bid for a domain, the API could be set up to bid in smaller increments up to a maximum price.

With Closeouts, the API can automatically buy domains when they hit a certain price.

Using an API like this previously required having a development team. Now it’s possible for anyone to implement it with AI-based coding tools.

Of course, with real money involved, users should be careful and set up safeguards to avoid accidentally buying domains they don’t want (or at prices above their intention).

GoDaddy is encouraging users to use its Auctions Inventory lists to help find domains. These lists include XML and JSON files of different auctions, such as all auctions ending today, with enhanced data points.
