The original track is composed at approximately 155 BPM. One of the primary goals of this arrangement was to reinterpret the piece through a more modern hard techno framework at 145 BPM while preserving its melodic identity.

Beyond these direct references, the arrangement draws heavily from the harmonic and melodic language of the source material while introducing substantial new sound design, rhythmic restructuring, IDM-inspired glitch processing, sample manipulation, and hard techno production techniques.
The intention was not to recreate the original track, but to reinterpret it through a contemporary electronic music perspective while preserving its emotional and thematic core.

I'd like to share a tribute remix inspired by the Mass Effect universe and the work of Jesse James Allen.
Mass Effect has been one of the most influential science-fiction universes in my life, and I wanted to reinterpret some of the emotions and memories it left behind through my own musical language.
This track, "Harbinger", is a hard techno reimagining of "Embracing the Afterlife" by Jesse James Allen & Lo-Fi Epic, blended with elements and vocals inspired by the Reapers and Harbinger.
This remix was created out of respect and admiration for the original work and the incredible universe of Mass Effect.
I hope it brings you as much enjoyment as I had while creating it.
