Grand Theft Auto IV Chain Game Round 16
The Chain Game is a community-based relay game where players work as a team, taking turns to contribute progress towards a shared goal. In this round we're completing Grand Theft Auto IV on PC "from Zero to Hero", from the very beginning to 100% completion
Join by posting “I’ll take a turn”, downloading the last save file, completing one mission, and uploading the updated save file. Just do not save after failing a mission, getting busted, or wasted. The full set of rules are outlined below.
The Rules
The rules keep the game fair and enjoyable and should be read and understood by all players to minimise disruption.
Before You Play
Game Version
You will need to own a version of Grand Theft Auto IV on PC in order to participate, but will need to install XLiveLess to load the save file if using Version 1.0.8.0 or earlier, and may need to downgrade the save file on GTASnP.com if using Version 1.2.0.32.

Team Spirit
Remember that the Chain Game is about working as a team. Consider how much progress you make in one turn, remembering that other players may want to complete a variety of content in theirs.

Taking a Turn
Post in this topic to take a turn, then download the save file from the last turn and place it in your save file directory. If the URL seems suspicious, let us know.
You will need to install XLiveLess to load the save file if using Version 1.0.8.0 or earlier, and may need to downgrade the save file on GTASnP.com if using Version 1.2.0.32.
If multiple players post at the same time, the one who posted first takes the turn.
You are not allowed to reserve turns. You may not post while another turn is in progress or message players to control the flow of the round.
Three Hour Time Limit
You have three hours to complete your turn, counting from when you post to when you edit in your completed save file.
Wait Rules
After completing your turn, you must wait before taking another. You can take another turn once either:
Two Turns have been completed since your last turn
Four Hours have passed with no valid turns taken since your last turn was completed
Forfeiting
You can forfeit your turn by editing your post to note this. This will count as an invalid turn.
Making Progress
You have three hours to complete your turn, during which you may complete up to one story mission, up to one random encounter, and as many other side activities as you wish. That's plenty of time to sit back, relax, and have some fun!
Gameplay Rules
No Busts or Wastes: Do not get busted or wasted. If you do, reload an earlier save file and continue from there.
No Failures: Do not fail any mission or side mission that counts towards the “Mission Attempts” statistic except if collecting a vehicle that has a special property. If you do, reload an earlier save file and continue from there.
No Cheats, Scripts and Trainers: Do not use cheats, scripts, or trainers.
Modifications: We strongly encourage playing on an unmodified installation of the game. Modifications that include limit adjusters, change scripts, or otherwise affect the save file are not allowed. You will need to use XLiveLess if using Version 1.0.8.0 or earlier, but ask us before using any others.
Missions
Story Missions: You may only complete one story mission during your turn. If the mission presents you with a choice to make, you are free to make whichever choice you wish. If you complete "No. 1" or a mission that presents the player with an achieved time or score, it must be mentioned in your post.
Random Encounters: You may only complete one random encounter during your turn.
Exceptions: The following missions and encounters do not require much effort from the player or are phone activated and unavoidable and so are considered exceptions to the one mission rule. You may complete as many of them as you wish during your turn:

You are not allowed to complete either "A Revenger's Tragedy" or "Out of Commission" despite being 'Phone Activated Missions' if either "If the Price is Right" or "A Dish Served Cold" has been completed during the same turn.
Side Activities
Assassinations: You may complete as many assassinations as you wish during your turn.
Bowling, Darts, Pool and QUB3D: You may complete as many of these activities as you wish during your turn, but must mention whether the activity was won and the score achieved where applicable.
Car Thefts and Exotic Exports: You may deliver as many of Brucie's Exotic Exports and Stevie's Car Thefts as you wish during your turn, but must note which vehicles you delivered.
Dating and Friend Activities: You may date girlfriends and hang out with friends as often as you wish during your turn, but must mention when you have completed one and list the activities completed, and who won each competitive activity and the final score where applicable.
Deliveries and Jobs: You may complete as many of Little Jacob's Drug Deliveres and Roman's Taxi Missions as you wish during your turn, but must mention any completed activities or jobs, using the names provided in the 100% Checklist.
Flying Rats and Stunt Jumps: You may complete as many Flying Rat exterminations and Stunt Jumps as you wish during your turn, but must note the location of those completed. Our maps for Flying Rats and Stunt Jumps can help you locate and number them in your post.
Most Wanted and Recent Crimes: You may complete as many Most Wanted Targets or Recent Crimes as you wish during your turn, but must note those completed.
Races: You may complete as many of Brucie's Races as you wish during your turn, but must note the time achieved and, if re-completing, should avoid saving after failed attempts to beat the record.
Saving and Submitting
Save the game at the nearest safehouse to an available mission and consider filling up on Armor for the next player. Then upload the save file to GTASnP.com or another free service that does not require registration.
Edit your turn post stating any mission or side mission completed, any relevant information outlined in the rules, the game completion percentage, and a link to the save file. It is recommended that you use the posting format in our FAQ and on GTASnP.com.
Late Edit: If amending your post later, note the time it was originally edited with a specified time zone.
Breaking the Rules
Turns that break the rules will be marked invalid and progress of the round will be reverted. Consistent or serious violations may result in a temporary or permanent suspension. We encourage reporting issues to our team so they can be resolved quickly.
