Hamilton’s Peeples Cancer Institute introduced its new mobile mammography coach, Mammography on the go, in July, designed to make preventive care more convenient and accessible.

"Mammography on the go is designed to bring high-quality breast cancer screening directly to Northwest Georgia residents," officials said. "The coach is equipped with the GE Pristina, an advanced 3D mammography system that combines exceptional image quality with a more comfortable patient experience. The mobile unit features the same state-of-the-art technology available at PCI, with all examinations interpreted by board-certified radiologists.

The GE Pristina delivers high-resolution, low-radiation 3D mammography with AI-powered image reconstruction to produce sharper, clearer images for more accurate breast cancer detection."

“Women love the convenience of having their screening mammogram performed at their workplace,” said Jenni Harrod, breast health imaging supervisor.

To schedule a mammogram on the Mammography on the go (mobile coach), call 706-281-8309 or email MobileMammoScheduling@vhcs.org. To schedule a mammogram at PCI, call 706-272-6565. Day, evening and weekend appointments are available at PCI.
