Glen Ridge alumni, local artists, and art lovers will have an opportunity to reconnect through creativity at the Glen Ridge Alumni Art Show, presented by The 100th Monkey Foundation and Just Paintings. The exhibition runs through October 30 at the Glen Ridge Train Station, with a free public reception on Saturday, October 24, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The exhibition is being organized by Peter Trondsen of Just Paintings, whose recent show at the Train Station, “Shared Visions: A Father & Son Art Exhibition,” featured work by Peter and his father, Robert Trondsen. This new exhibition continues that spirit of artistic connection, bringing together the work of Glen Ridge High School alumni and celebrating the creative ties that connect generations and communities.

Participating artists include MaryEllen Jordan (Class of 1976), Mike Claps (Class of 1980), Michelle Hayden-Marsan (Class of 1982), Sharen Hock-Laporta (Class of 1984), Pete Trondsen (Class of 1984), Ron Travisano (Class of 1984), Linda Dickinson (Class of 1985), and Lara Horton (LoRe) (Class of 1987). A special section will also feature artwork by current Glen Ridge High School students, connecting the artistic accomplishments of alumni with the next generation of creators. According to event information, 50% of art sales will benefit the Glen Ridge Arts Association.

The October 24 reception follows Glen Ridge Alumni Music Night, the NO CLASS Reunion fundraiser taking place October 23 at Tierney’s Tavern in Montclair. Together, the events celebrate the enduring bonds of the Glen Ridge community while supporting opportunities for the arts and local students.

Whether you are a Glen Ridge graduate, a supporter of local artists, or simply someone who enjoys art and community, the show offers a chance to discover familiar names, encounter new work, and celebrate the creative spirit of Glen Ridge.
