Vought F4U Corsair CockpitBy BAFR24(2026-05-18)In 1954, this Corsair was delivered to the French Navy. It was deployed multiple times, including during the Suez Crisis and the Algerian War. It was retired in 1973 and shipped to the US in 1974. It was bought by a private owner in California and restored. In 1982 it was leased to an owner in the UK. In 1993, it was shipped back to the US and bought by Jack Erickson. It was painted to honor famous F4U Pilot Jesse LeRoy Jackson and still flies today!
