All you need to know about the West Ham v QPR live stream is here, with the London Stadium hosting Friday night’s Championship game and kick off at 20.00 BST.

Sky have put this one on the main channels rather than Sky Sports+, so it is Main Event and Sky Sports Football with a 4K feed on Sky Sports Ultra HDR. It is the only Championship game of the night, which means no clashes and no split screens.

Watching from abroad is a different picture. Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network carry the Championship in the United States, with Fubo and DirecTV Stream also showing it, and coverage there starts mid-afternoon Eastern time.

Top spot is the prize.

West Ham sit second behind Swansea City and a win would put them back on top. QPR are sixth and only two points behind the Hammers, so victory for the visitors would take them above their hosts.

Nuno Espirito Santo has made a strong fist of life back in the second tier given the upheaval at the club, losing only once in eight league games. The 6-0 win over Wrexham was the pick of it.

Defending is the soft spot. Clean sheets have been scarce, and the Hammers were two goals down at Millwall before rescuing a point last time out.

QPR have the better defensive record of the two but the goals have dried up. Three straight draws and four games without a win have taken the momentum out of a brisk start, the most recent of them a 2-2 with Preston North End in which Julien Stephan’s side trailed with ten men before rallying.

Both clubs are unbeaten away from home, the only two in the division who can still say that.

Mohamadou Kante is suspended for West Ham after his red card at The Den, Joel Veltman is being assessed on a muscle problem picked up before the break, and Konstantinos Mavropanos is expected to be fit despite a knock on international duty with Greece. Oliver Scarles could come in at left-back.

QPR lose Dennis Cirkin to suspension after his own dismissal against Preston, while Glen Kamara’s availability is uncertain pending a complaint from Finland. Tariq Lamptey, Boy Kemper, Ilias Chair, Karamoko Dembele and Richard Kone all went into the break carrying injuries and will be assessed.

The two have not met in the league for over a decade, though West Ham won 2-1 when they were drawn together in the FA Cup in January.
