Tyson Fury will fight again before the end of 2022 and could face Joe Joyce at Wembley in early October ahead of a bout with Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk in the UK, says Bob Arum.

Heavyweight king Fury's US promoter has claimed that the WBC champion will eclipse his win over Dillian Whyte, which drew 94,000 people to Wembley in April, by fighting Joyce.

Olympic medalist Joyce will defend his WBC Silver and International heavyweight titles against Fury victim Christian Hammer at Wembley Arena on July 2.

Arum suggested Fury will go back on retiring for a fight with Joy Joyce at Wembley in October

Speaking to Queensbury Promotions, the company owned by Fury's UK promoter, Frank Warren, Arum said: 'He's going to fight, he's a fighting man, and I expect Tyson Fury back in the ring before the end of the year.

'I think if Joe Joyce wins his fight in early July, Tyson Fury and Joyce at Wembley in early at the beginning of October will do as well if not better - I don't know how you can do better - but as well as the Dillian Whyte fight with Tyson Fury.

'That will lead to a Fury fight against the winner of Joshua and Usyk. I'll do the best I can to make sure that fight takes place in the UK because I don't think it's good for boxing to have a fight like that and putting it in Saudi Arabia.'

Fury had insisted he was retiring before revealing this week that he will go back on his decision for £500million.

Joshua is expected to attempt to win back the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO titles he lost to Usyk in September 2021 when they meet again in Saudi Arabia in a bout that will reportedly take place on August 20.

Unbeaten Joyce fought hundreds of rounds together with Joshua during their time with Team GB and succeeded him as amateur British super-heavyweight champion in 2012.

The 36-year-old is ranked number one with the WBO, meaning Joshua or Usyk would be his likely next opponent if he beats Hammer and does not arrange a date with Fury.

The fighter known as The Juggernaut has sparred with Fury and believes he is the only man who can hand the towering Mancunian his first loss.

Joyce told The Sun: 'I agree with [Fury] on one thing: none of the others stand a chance against him. I am the only one that can beat him if he ever took the challenge.

Joyce agrees with Fury that no fighter has a chance against him — but thinks he can shock him

'If by some miracle Joshua beats Usyk, he will have to face me or vacate the belt. His chin has gone and I don't think his heart is fully in the game any more — he's a businessman more interested in lecturing students.

'I'm No 1 with the WBO and when Usyk beats Joshua again I'll show you how a proper heavyweight in 10oz gloves deals with a man who lost to a welterweight in the amateurs.'

Arum reiterated his belief that fights in Saudi Arabia - Joshua reclaimed his belts from Andy Ruiz Jr in the country in 2019 - do not benefit the sport.

The Top Rank boss said: 'I think you make more money doing it that way but I don't think it's right for the fans.

'Boxing is a sport that depends on the enthusiasm of the fans and you would never think of taking the Super Bowl and moving it to Saudi Arabia, no matter what the Saudis are willing to pay.

'In the short term, it might be advantageous to go to Saudi Arabia to grab the money. But long term, it's not good for the sport.'
