Tyson Fury's co-promoter Bob Arum expects the Gypsy King to snub a fight with Zhilei Zhang this summer and wait for a lucrative bout with Oleksandr Usyk.

Chinese fighter Zhang had been tipped to take on Fury after he defeated Joe Joyce in April - inflicting the Brit's first ever pro defeat.

This meant Zhang replaced Joyce as the WBO mandatory challenger to champion Oleksandr Usyk, setting up a potential fight with Fury in the meantime.

Joyce has since activated his rematch clause - which could delay proceedings - although he may be offered compensation to allow Fury-Zhang to take place.

Zhang and Joyce were in line to fight Fury after he was unable to agree terms for a blockbuster showdown with Usyk, but Arum believes they will eventually come to an agreement for a bout in Saudi Arabia.

He also claimed the Gypsy King will most likely wait for Usyk - even if the Ukrainian organises another fight in the meantime.

'I really think any of the money that anybody’s talking about for that fight pales in comparison to what they could make in the Middle East,' he told ProBox TV.

'They’re waiting now, both fighters, for the end of the year, to fight each other in the Middle East, because that’s where the big money is.

'Right now I think he's going to wait (to fight), but with Tyson Fury it depends on how he wakes up in the morning.'

Meanwhile, a Fury-Usyk bout in Saudi Arabia could be joined by a fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

The Kingdom is fast emerging as the place for the richest fights, replacing the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas.

This has come at a time when it was reported Fury would be unable to enter the US due to his alleged links with Daniel Kinahan - a boxing promoter - who is alleged to be the head of an Irish organised crime group.

But Arum rubbished these claims as he said: 'The idea that he hasn't had permission to fight here is ballooney.

'But he has to go to the US embassy and be interviewed, and then they'll give him his visa. But he has been reluctant to have that interview.

'We have the person he has to see - there's no reason he'll be kept out of the country,' before he added: 'He's Tyson Fury'.
