Anchor Hocking began sponsorship of the Casey series in August 1946. Their expectation was that advertising on a top-rated series with broad appeal would yield strong increase in sales as the country recovered from WW2 austerity, service personnel returned to families, and led to a more normal pace of life.
The company held its annual sales convention at its Lancaster, Ohio headquarters from April 14 to 18, 1947. This special closed-circuit broadcast was presented to the convention on Tuesday, April 15.
The recording is nearly 11 minutes and opens with a skit about the cast of the show gathering at the Blue Note, and then delivering greetings to the attendees. They expressed their commitment to deliver a large and regular audience with the series to inform them about Anchor Hocking products.
Jan Miner mentions that she just replaced Lesley Woods in the series. Ms. Woods left the series for her marriage and honeymoon trip to Europe. Miner likely had been in the role of Ann Williams for two episodes by this point.
There was great optimism about the series and the sales prospects of Anchor Hocking. There was also great optimism about Lancaster, Ohio, too. At the end of the year, Forbes magazine selected the city as one of the best in the country. It had an extended feature in its Forbes 1947-11-15 V60N10 edition. It can be viewed at

Sadly, just less than a year after this presentation, Anchor Hocking cancelled its sponsorship. Like many consumer marketers at the time, the company overestimated the sales boost of its advertising spending. While consumers were returning to regular purchase patterns, they were also coping with inflation and also rebuilding their savings for other purchases such as autos and homes.
(On a separate historical note, the date April 15, 1947 was the baseball opening day that Jackie Robinson was in the line-up for the Brooklyn Dodgers).
