itel has expanded its rugged feature phone lineup in India with the launch of the itel Tough (it4520), the latest addition to its INNO Series. Designed for outdoor workers, farmers, daily-wage workers, and users operating in demanding environments, the feature phone focuses on durability and utility-focused features.
The itel Tough joins the brand’s INNO Series, following the launch of the itel Aqua, an IP67-rated feature phone. itel says its nationwide retail network includes more than 1.3 lakh retail outlets and over 1,000 authorised service centres across India.

The itel Tough comes with 2-metre drop protection and an IP54 rating for resistance against dust ingress and water splashes. It also comes bundled with a dedicated dust and shockproof silicone case for additional protection against impacts and everyday handling.
The feature phone uses a USB Type-C port for charging, bringing a modern charging interface to the rugged device. It comes in Deep Blue, Red, and Black color options.
Dedicated Agri Button & King VoiceThe itel Tough includes a dedicated Agri Button that provides one-touch access to government agricultural helplines, allowing users to quickly access farming advisories and other agricultural information.
It also features King Voice, a text-to-speech accessibility feature that reads navigation menus, incoming messages, and incoming call details in English and Hindi.
Dual-Lamp Torch & Super SoundboxFor outdoor use, the device comes with a dual-lamp torch designed to provide illumination during nighttime field work and power outages.
The feature phone also gets a Super Soundbox, an amplified speaker system designed to provide louder ringtones and media output in noisy environments such as outdoor work sites, markets and fields.

Commenting on the launch, Arijeet Talapatra, CEO, itel India – Transsion Holdings said, “India is a country where millions of people work through dust, heat, long hours and challenging environments, and their devices need to be built with the same resilience. With itel Tough, we are bringing meaningful innovation to the feature phone category by combining rugged durability with utility that is relevant to real Bharat. As part of our INNO Series, itel Tough reflects our commitment to creating technology that is purpose-built, accessible and genuinely useful for everyday India.”
