Annotation. The article examines theoretical options for new solutions to the passenger transport system in the upland area of Nizhny Novgorod within the context of an expanding urban agglomeration. The proposed layouts for new transit lines and transit hubs take into account the future development potential of ground rail transit, rail transport, the metro, urban and regional bus routes, as well as plans for the construction of new cable car lines.
