~6:47am Saturday 9/19/26~We open at 9am but my deliveries start at 7am so I can get people back on the road swiftly.
To Jason Witte (General Sales Mgr of Criswell Chevrolet)
“Good morning. I hope this finds you well.
My name is Joseph Jordan. I live in Houston Texas. I have been a Criswell Chevrolet customer since 2021. More specifically, I have been a Mike Furman Customer since 2021.
I am taking time to write you to commend your teammate, Mike Furman, for the outstanding job he has done for my wife and I.
In June 2025, we were at your location taking delivery of our 2025 Rapid Blue Eray Convertible. We were joined by my son, his wife, and their children. They came to Gaithersburg, Maryland from NYC to be with us when we picked up the car. We had a great time in Wash, DC. Great family event.
This was the 3rd Corvette we had purchased from Mike. (the first was a 2021 Stingray Convertible, the second a 2024 Corvette Z51 Convertible, and in May of 2026, we took delivery of a 2026 Arctic White Z06 Stars and Steel HTC – so we have bought a total of 4 from Mike).
We have made the journey from Houston to your store 3 times – the other time we took delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Mike has taken care of us each time with exceptional professionalship and customer service.
My wife Teri and I enjoy our Corvettes immensely. We are members of the San Jacinto Corvette Club in Houston TX, and the Sam Houston Corvette Club in The Woodlands, Tx.
I was with Mike last October at Ron Fellows, attending the Eray School Mike coordinates with the team at Ron Fellows. I learned so much, and Mike was a joy to be with, and I got to know him better.
So why am I telling you all of this? In a few days, on September 10, 2026, the San Jacinto Corvette Club in Houston is taking 22 Corvettes on a trip…. 22 Corvettes, 18 days, 4200 miles. We are going to caravan from Houston to Williams Arizona and then proceed to visit The Grand Canyon, Arches National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and Monument Valley. On the way back to Texas we will stop in Estes Park Colorado for a 5 day family reunion with my wife’s family. We have been looking forward to this trip for over a year.
Approximately 5 weeks ago, my Eray had some issues. Front Lift quit recognizing GPS locations. GPS quit. OnStar stopped working. After calling OnStar on my cell phone, OnStar determined that something was definitely amiss with my car and I needed to take it to my local dealer, Mac Haik Chevy, here in Houston.
Long story short, the Telematics Unit failed. Then the dealer informed me it was on a National Backorder, there are no parts to be had. Mac Haik had no timeline for parts. 6-8 weeks, 6 months, nobody knew. We were not happy. Keep in mind that these parts DO exist, as GM continues to build vehicles. There are just no Repair/Replacement Parts.
I looked online in some forums and saw that this is an issue across the board for GM. It affects Tahoe/Escalade/Suburban/Corvette and probably other models. Since it’s not safety related, it’s not a NHTSA recall. Further, with no Telematics Unit, I guess parasitic battery drain is an issue. Your battery can die overnight as the TMU is not responding to other modules within the vehicle, so the other modules keep pinging the TMU looking for a response until the battery dies.
The places we are traveling to on this trip are remote to say the least. No Cell Service in areas is the norm. We will have CB’s, but that’s limited. No GPS would be a major problem. No OnStar would be a definite problem. Parasitic Battery Drain meant we were not going to be able to take our car.
As mentioned earlier, we have been planning this trip with our group for a year. Not taking our Eray on the trip was going to be a real problem.
After getting all of this information from the local dealer, OnStar, and online, I was about to give up.
Then I thought I would reach out to the one person that knows more about Corvette than anyone else I know, and a person that is a consummate pro in Customer Service —– I contacted Mike Furman via email on August 19 2026 about my problem and situation. Within an hour or so I heard back. Mike said he would go to work on it.
Keep in mind, Mike sold me this car almost a year and a half ago. He did not have to get involved, but he did. He contacted folks inside GM and the next thing I knew, I had Lori from GM calling me on my cell informing me what my case number was, and she informed me she had contacted my Service Contact at Mac Haik Chevy. She also asked me to contact Mac Haik and have Mac Haik issue a PO for a new product number GM had. I did all of this. Lori contacted me every few days to let me know that they were looking for a part and that it had been escalated to a top priority.
All along the way, folks were aware that we had a hard departure deadline for our trip of September 10, 2026, and they all let us know they would work to get it sorted.
Mike touched base every few days and told me to keep him in the loop. At the beginning of this week, my wife and I were about ready to give up. We thought we were running out of time. I was texting Mike about that…… Mike said he was not giving up. I think he talked with some GM folks when he was at Corvettes at Carlisle about it.
On September 1, 2026, I got a message from GM that a part had been located and was shipping to Mac Haik. I was given a tracking number, so I knew it was a real deal. It arrived at Mac Haik Chevy the morning of Sept 3. I dropped my car off midday, and by the end of the day it was fixed.
I am writing this to you from my garage looking at my repaired, ready to roll, 2025 Corvette Eray. Pics are attached. Like I said, we depart Thursday morning September 10.
Jason, this would not have happened if your teammate, Mike Furman, had not gone to bat for my wife and I. Mike helped push to make this part available so we could take our Eray on our trip.
That is exactly the reason I have referred folks to Mike, and its also the reason I am on his list for a Grand Sport, as well as for a C9. You are blessed to have a person like Mike that goes above and beyond for his customers.
It is easy for me to see why Mike has sold over 7000 Corvettes and is still rolling.
I saw yesterday where the National Corvette Museum is adding Mike to their Board of Directors. This is a well-deserved honor for Mike Furman and Criswell Chevrolet.
I am retiring at the end of this month, having been involved in Sales for our Family Business for over 4+ decades. Something my dad taught me growing up:
‘Anyone can tell a customer “NO”. The superior salesman finds a way to make the answer “YES”.
Mike Furman finds a way to make the answer ‘YES’.
A big THANK YOU to Mike Furman of Criswell Chevrolet!
I just wanted to share this with you, and I hope you have a great day!”
Regards

~Michelle and Jay S. of Riverside, California are Corvette folks to the extraordinary . I don’t banter that word or car involvement lightly. They are regulars at the local car events and it seems they have an open garage event at their home several times per year. Jay has owned a 1963 split window Fuelie for over 40 years but many would say that Michelle is the car lover and LA sports fan. So when she can combine her husband, birthday, New Corvette and LA sports icon…I’d say that’s a Grand Slam! I placed her order for an Admiral Blue 2027 Corvette GSX and had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at Orel Hershiser’s Chevrolet in Chino, California. Only Michelle could have the delivery timed perfectly for not only her birthday but on a day when Orel Hershiser himself would be there in person to complete my courtesy delivery. About a dozen friends joined in yesterday in the festivities of GSX vin 00018 and Orel was gracious for pictures and autographs. Most likely the first GSX to arrive in California and Michelle and Jay were eagerly awaiting to complete the Grand Slam I spoke of earlier. Equipment for their 721 HP GSX Convertible: 3LT, Competition seats, chrome badges, front lift, red calipers, quad exposed bright exhaust tips, bright polished forged aluminum wheels, red seat belts, black interior, red stitching, three stanchion high wing spoiler and much more.
Check out option code BV4 as she thanked me on her dash plaque.
Happy Birthday and enjoy your new GSX vin 00018.
~Shiv U. of McLean, Virginia came to me many months ago to place a factory order for a new Torch Red 2027 Z06 coupe and for the ultimate dream of having delivery by his birthday. Today is his birthday and today he drove off in his special order Z06! Equipment: 2LZ, GT2 buckets, stealth interior trim, red engine intake, front lift, red calipers, red stitching and much more. Shiv has owned a C4, C6 and now a C8! ~Jaysen and Paula E. of Centreville, Maryland still own their White 1993 Corvette and today they took delivery of its new stablemate, a Roswell Green 2027 Corvette Stingray Convertible with Natural interior. They enjoyed doing this special factory order so they could get exactly what they wanted on Corvette #2.Equipment: 2LT, Carbon flash/yellow stinger stripe, front lift, yellow calipers, bright quad exhaust, 20 spoke bright machined face wheels, illuminated crossed flags emblem, engine appearance pkg and much more.
~Sam and Jeanine R. of Bartlett, Illinois placed their factory order for an Arctic White 2027 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible with two tone Red/ Black interior to match the 1998 Corvette that they had owned. The paperwork/payment process was completed via Fed Ex and Plycar trucking enclosed shipped their new Grand Sport to their doorstep. Equipment: 2LT, front lift, red calipers, bright quad tailpipes, Red GS badges, 10 spoke polished wheels and much more! ~Mike B. of Coral Springs, Florida had never bought a car out of state so I walked him through the whole process. Mike factory ordered an Arctic White 2027 Corvette Z06 Convertible with Black interior and Red stitching. The paperwork/payment process was completed via Fed Ex at our expense and Plycar trucking enclosed trailered his new Corvette Z06 down Rt 95 to his Coral Springs, Florida home. Equipment: 3LZ, stealth trim, chrome badges, carbon fiber display hood, red calipers, red seat belts, and much more. ~ This week’s Top 100 Corvette Barn finds, old Racing stills, Ads and throwback pictures from around the globe!Drive safely and enjoy the week.
