The ultrawealthy moguls with family offices are usually decades into their careers. Then there’s Jake Paul.

Despite the opaqueness of the family office industry, Paul, 29, has known about it for years. He’s now creating his own family office, which he hopes to headquarter in Old Parkland, Dallas’ premier spot for these firms and other top investors. He met several of them recently when he toured the space.

Family offices are private firms that those with billions or hundreds of millions of dollars use to invest their money and manage personal affairs and financial planning.

In North Texas, they’ve become influential investors that quietly deploy billions of dollars across a wide range of industries. Paul, who lives in Puerto Rico, is drawn to the Dallas family office industry’s growing focus on AI, defense technology, and robotics.
