Embedded World: Six Taiwanese companies gathered at the Taiwan pavilion to promote the island as a manufacturing partner and a hub for AI.

Adlink, Advantech, Asus, DFI, iBase and Nexcom all presented AI-related products.

Adlink presented compact COM modules, embedded systems and multi-GPU servers for industrial deployments.

Advantech showed its edge AI acceleration, robotics and vertical-ready platforms, Asus presented ruggedised edge AI computers, fanless systems, industrial servers and industrial-grade networking, while DFI focused on its industrial edge and computing platforms based on Intel and Qualcomm processors.

IBase highlighted its embedded and edge computing products for AIoT, industrial automation and smart retail applications and Nexcom concentrated on software defined edge computing (SDEC) with demos showing how edge AI and physical AI can be used in automation. It also exhibited its latest fanless panel PCs for AI-enabled edge computing.

Taiwan’s industrial production increased by 16.7% in 2025 and Peggy Lin, deputy director of Strategic Marketing at the trade organisation, Taitra, said that the island is “well positioned to serve as a reliable innovation partner for Europe’s smart manufacturing and automation initiatives”.

Taiwan seems to be increasingly looking to Europe for an economic partnership, in particular Germany. Last year, trade between the two countries was worth $21.7bn and 2025 also saw the topping out ceremony at the ESMC facility in Dresden.

At one point, Dr Klement Gu, Taiwan’s representative in Germany, joked that the island’s name is an acronym for ‘Top AI Wonderful Advanced Nation’.
