GE HealthCare Chief Financial Officer Jay Saccaro is leaving the medical technology company to take an expanded finance and operations role at animal health company Zoetis.

Saccaro will depart GE HealthCare on August 14 and become Zoetis’ Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer on August 17. The newly created position will place him in charge of Zoetis’ global finance organization as well as its manufacturing and supply operations.

GE HealthCare has appointed Controller and Chief Accounting Officer George Newcomb as Interim Chief Financial Officer while it searches for a permanent successor. Newcomb has served as the company’s controller since 2016 and added the chief accounting officer role when GE HealthCare separated from General Electric in 2023.

Saccaro spent three years at GE HealthCare, overseeing finance, information technology, strategy, and business development. Before joining the company, he spent more than two decades at Baxter International, including eight years as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

His departure came as GE HealthCare reported $5.3 billion in second-quarter revenue, up 5.7% from the previous year, with organic revenue growth of 3.5%. Organic orders increased 11.1%, and backlog reached $23.9 billion. The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance.
