hi all, i just bought a poco x8 pro max os version 3.0302.0.wpleuxm.c08. in developer settings ion the mi unlock status section the device is locked the phone is secured. i turned on oem unlocking and usb debugging but i cannot add the account and device it says couldnt add please go to xiaomi community to apply. i went to xiaomi community and it says application quota reached. please try again after 08/07 00:00 . before that it says account must be registered for 30 days before applying but im using the account ive been using since i bought my mi9 se. i removed the mi9 se from the account in case that was the cause but same results. my mi 9 se has a rom from here installed miui12.6 could this be a factor? should i remove my poco from that account then open a new one and wait 30 days or do you think if i try on the community thing after 08/07 itll have a better result?

sorry i clearly didnt read up about the imposed wait to unlock, not messed about with a phones rom since my mi9se was new.

you have to time it sadly since they do limited amount of unlock rights to grant per day.
try to do it as soon as it is about to hit 12AM China time

or try it with this tool

Sometimes when it says application quota reached, you can still try to unlock it by going into fastboot mode and using the unlock tool

it said 00:00 gmt i think, if i click too early does that mess it up? edit: i must be remembering wrong as is saying china time will try tomorrow at 5pm gmt

i dont think it messes up, just would make sure to do it around the time when it does reset though.
the tool in the link mentioned asks for unlock permission for you when you set it up correctly with the script
