The Bold and the Beautiful hasn’t just put Steffy and Finn through the wringer over the years, it’s put them back and forth through the wringer. Like, they might as well call the wringer home at this point, because they spend as much time there as they do the cliff house. Can their relationship survive the one-two punch of the Monte Carlo disaster and Steffy’s one-night stand with Carter?

Tanner Novlan, for one, has faith in the couple. “Generally, they have a very strong, functioning marriage,” he’s told Soaps.com, “but they’re always pulled in these crazy different ways, and their values are always being tested.”

Thus far, the couple has aced every test, from Steffy’s drunken hookup with Liam (and the resulting “Who’s the Daddy?” storyline) to the revelation that Finn was the father of homicidal maniac Luna. But Steffy has drawn a line in the sand where Sheila is concerned — and understandably so. Is Finn willing to toe that line?

If, as the character is insisting, he can completely cut his biomom out of his life, he and Steffy might be able to get back to the moments Novlan so enjoys. “I like watching them at home, when they’re dealing with kids,” he’s said. “It’s fun to have this powerful CEO of a [fashion house] and a doctor, and they come home at the end of the day and, just like in real life, the kids don’t care about any of that!”

Unless we miss our mark, Steffy and Finn will soon have another kid on the way — or Steffy and Carter will. Could the embattled marrieds withstand the reveal of Steffy’s “terrible mistake” with Daphne’s husband? That remains to be seen.
