Stefanos Tsitsipas's girlfriend Paulo Badosa posted a selfie from Madrid while the Greek star was taking on Christopher Eubank at Wimbledon - with the women's player missing his fourth-round defeat.  

Tsitsipas was beaten in five sets by the unseeded American in an enthralling clash - but despite Badosa supporting her partner through much of the tournament thus far, she opted to jet off to her native Spain as he joined her in exiting the tournament.

Badosa saw her own Wimbledon dream end after being forced to retire from her second-round match against Marta Kostyuk last week due to injury - meaning she was also unable to take part in mixed doubles with Tsitsipas.

She then took the role of cheerleader as she roared him on during his five-set win over Andy Murray, having also watched him edge to victory over Dominic Thiem.

But she was nowhere to be seen during his crushing loss to Eubanks as she uploaded a selfie on Instagram sitting in the back of a car with her sunglasses on, tabbing up the photo with a geo-tag for Madrid. 

Badosa appears to have jetted off to the Spanish capital to begin her recovery process, as she later posted a picture of her lying down on a massage table with the caption 'rehab rehab'.

She then uploaded another Instagram story showing her room at the five-star BP Plaza Espana hotel located in the city centre. 

Badosa - whose relationship with Tsistipas has dominated SW19 - had already made the headlines this week after revealing she had a sex dream about her boyfriend in a bizarre overshare during a press conference.

'Yeah, well, I was injured in Australia. I watched his match, the final. Of course I had jet lag because I was in Spain. I decided to watch that match,' she said.

'Surprising, because I never dream about tennis players, but I dreamt about him that night, that we were both winning Australian Open. Then it was like we were having a very romantic moment, but I'm not going to explain.'

'I'm just going to leave it there,' she added laughing. 

The pair have been dating publicly since the French Open earlier this year, with Badosa notably going to watch Tsitsipas during the tournament while she has been recovering from a back injury. 

Badosa had eased through the first round of the women's singles with a straight-sets victory over Alison Riske-Amritraj, but was forced to withdraw at 2-6, 0-1 down against Kostyuk at the next stage after a back injury. 

That misfortune led to an excruciating press conference where a reporter congratulated her on winning despite the fact she'd just lost, with the Spanish world No 35 managing just 16 words in a skin-crawling interview. 

Wimbledon's wildest couple have hardly been subtle about their relationship, which only began in April. The two have a sugar-sweet Instagram page filled with snaps of the two and Tsitsipas declared her his 'soulmate'. 

The pair have also been sharing their exploration of London, which included a meal at Salt Bae's Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Knightsbridge.
