Sam Burgess and his fiancée Lucy Graham are enjoying their first few blissful days with their newborn daughter. 

In a series of posts to Instagram, the NRL star and his former girl group star love shared new photos of their little one. 

One image showed Sam, 34, cuddled up with little Robbie, who lay sleeping on his chest. 

Further images depicted Lucy in bed with the tot, gazing at her lovingly, as well as a mirror selfie in which she held the baby girl close. 

'Our Robbie girl,' Lucy captioned the photos, alongside a heart emoji.    

Sam announced the exciting news of the baby's arrival on Channel Seven's Sunrise, revealing the couple welcomed Robbie on Wednesday.

'[It happened] during grand final week, we're cheering. I'm on very limited sleep and am getting used to that again but it's great!' the proud father said.

The sports star added that both Lucy and their newborn daughter are 'doing really well'.

'She is fantastic and beautiful just like her mother,' Sam added.

He and Lucy revealed they were expecting their first child together back in March.

The former Rabbitohs player proposed to Lucy in June, just nine months after they went public with their relationship. 

Lucy used to be a member of British girl group The Ultra Girls, who were featured heavily on The X Factor UK in 2009. 

Sam, who was born in West Yorkshire, England, has known Lucy for about 20 years.
