Joel Ouaknine has added another very competitive grant to his growing portfolio: He has just been awarded an EPSRC Leadership Fellowship 2009 which provides 5 years' worth of funding. In this year's selection round, out of 664 proposals received for both Career Acceleration and Leadership FS schemes, 119 were invited to submit full applications, and up to 50 Fellowships were expected to be awarded. Therefore, the success rate for the combined schemes was around 7.5%. Joel will be working on Quantitative Verification: From Model Checking to Model Measuring.
