Doing another writeup for GTa2: slight stumbling block. So, there are various versions of GTa2 based on the ...platform. And for whatever reason, Rockstar dropped a bunch of money on a fancy montage style film of GTA type stuff happening - apparently as a promotion alone. A montage of this montage is placed in GTa2 as the opening cutscene: and I am told, what little my feeble mind knows, that that is it as far as cutscenes.
The only reason I know it's a montage of a montage is that I was inspired (in the feeble mind) to check YouTube for evidence of GTa2 cutscenes, and came across the full video, which makes a lot more sense than the opening montage, and my impression was that it was cutscenes from some version of the game (like Dreamcast or whatever). Also that it might be from the RETAIL version of the game, which I can't locate short of some crazy eBay deep dive and I don't wish to do. There understandably is not much discussion of non existent cutscenes, but I am still surprised by their absence...did enjoy the Grand Theft Auto cutscenes, and I was expecting great things from the, shall we say, FMV introduction of GTa2.
So, just asking if any version had this video as cutscenes, that indeed the video just is promotional stuff that isn't in the game besides the introduction excerpts, and that indeed there are no cutscenes in what is alleged to be an update and upgrade of Grand Theft Auto. Can this be?
