DeepX said August 14 that cumulative purchase orders (POs) for its neural processing unit (NPU), DX-M1, have exceeded $13 million. The company also signaled that it expects to reach annual break-even. However, it is unlikely to meet its original revenue target of 60 billion won.

DeepX supplies the DX-M1 to 77 companies in more than 10 countries. Depending on customer requirements, the DX-M1 is produced in forms including systems-on-chip (SoCs) and modules. Applications include robotics, smart factories, aerospace and edge computing.

Since beginning mass production in August last year, DeepX has secured customers in the US, China, Europe, Taiwan and Hong Kong. About 62% of cumulative POs were generated in the past four months.

DeepX expects POs to increase further. It has more than 400 potential customers and is working on edge artificial intelligence (AI) projects with global companies including Baidu and Lenovo.

In particular, 48 of the 77 total orders were placed between April and July 2026. The figure accounts for about 62% of all orders and indicates that the pace at which customer evaluations and product adoption have turned into actual purchasing decisions has accelerated since mass production began.

DeepX forecast annual revenue of 20 billion won. Revenue last year was 3.324 billion won.

The figure falls short of the 60 billion won revenue target DeepX set in the first half of this year. The company said it revised the target after variables emerged in some production processes.

The company is more optimistic about reaching annual break-even point (BEP). A DeepX official said, "We have already passed monthly BEP" and added that the company will achieve annual profitability. DeepX reported an operating loss of 20.1 billion won last year and accumulated deficit of 371.1 billion won.
