This weekend, Nimrods hits theaters. Directed and written by Lee Kirk, this new coming-of-age comedy follows a group of teenagers who have dreams of becoming a great band. They also happen to love Green Day. So, when they get a chance to slip their demo to the band, it suddenly leads them on a cross-country road trip to LA after they are invited to open for Green Day on New Year's Eve. What ensues is a hilarious comedy-of-errors road trip that will hopefully lead the boys to their big break.
So, to celebrate the new movie, we had Green Day, aka Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, play with puppies while answering ALLLLLL of our questions! It was hilarious and adorably wholesome all at the same time.
They talked about the making of Nimrods and how it was inspired by their early days as a band.
Green Day revealed the famous celebrities who are big fans of theirs, including Venus and Serena Williams.
And, of course, since they've been a band for so long, they talked about their pre-show rituals, the song they love to perform live, and so much more.
