ADÉLA dances during her set at the Allianz stage on Sunday, Aug 2.

Slovakian singer Adéla Jergová, better known as just ADÉLA, hasn’t even released her first album yet, and she’s already a star.

ADÉLA’s music, a mix of mainstream pop music and electronic pop, has gained millions of fans in just a few years.

Before her musical debut, she appeared on the competition series “The Debut: Dream Academy.” Though eliminated from the competition early on, she grew a dedicated fanbase from the show that followed her into an emerging musical career.

In a frenzy of new music and tour dates, her popularity has only grown. Her most recent stop was Lollapalooza on Sunday, with people swarming towards the T-Mobile stage ahead of her 3 p.m. set.

She opened the set with “KGB,” a single from her upcoming album “PRIMA.” With long pink hair and knee-high pink boots, she started her set with infectious energy.

Whipping her hair around her head, she flawlessly danced to the song alongside backup dancers, who mirrored her energy.

ADÉLA is a trained ballerina, and her extensive dance background became clear during her performance. At one point during the set, she switched out her knee-high boots for ballet shoes, demonstrating her poise and agility.

Before her hit song “Ain’t in LA,” she took a minute to address the crowd and talk about what the song means to her.

“I’m originally from Slovakia; I don’t know if you guys know that,” ADÉLA said to screams from the crowd. “I always had this big dream of being this pop star on a stage one day … I just wrote this next song thinking about what I would have loved to hear when I was nine.”

ADÉLA talked more about giving smaller places across the world “their flowers,” before launching into “Ain’t in LA,” which celebrates individuality and counters the idea that mainstream success is only found in Hollywood.

Incorporating her seamless choreography and punchy vocals, she performed the song with high energy as the audience screamed the lyrics.

On the hot pink jumbo screen, bold black letters displayed “The baddest b—-es are in” while flashing through different cities.

Finally, as the song came to a close, the screen read “The baddest b—-es are in Chicago.”
