Heather Morris was crowned the winner of The Masked Dancer aired on Saturday night, during the show's grand final.

As Scissors was chosen to be the very last star unmasked, the 35-year-old actress beneath the costume became the reigning champion of the hugely popular ITV series. 

Heather is best known for playing the role of cheerleader Brittany S. Pierce on the Fox series Glee, and her dance moves nabbed her first place in the celebrity competition. 

Australian Actor Adam Garcia, 49, was revealed to be runner-up Onomatopoeia, while former Strictly judge Bruno Tonioli, 66, was unveiled as Pearly King as he took third place.

First on the night to be unmasked was beloved Pearly King who was revealed to be Strictly Come Dancing legend Bruno Tonioli.

Of signing up to the show thinking it was The Masked Singer, he joked, 'I said, 'Singer, oh yeah I'll do it. Dancer?? You've got to be kidding me!' You should always read your contract.'

Speaking about not keeping up the London accent, he laughed to host Joel Dommett: 'It's hard work to talk like that mate!'

He added of his character: 'It had such swagger, it's good doing something so out of your comfort zone.'

After being unmasked as Onomatopoeia, runner-up Adam told host Joel: ‘I always step away from dancing and then something brings me back – and I realise, that’s right, I love dancing… it brings joy.’  

Adam is a trained tap dancer, stage and film actor and singer who has performed on Stage in the likes of Wicked, Saturday Night Fever and Kiss Me, Kate.

The star also appeared as the lead love interested in the movie Coyote Ugly, and starred alongside Lindsay Lohan as well as Megan Fox in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

After finding out they were the winner, Scissors was unmasked and revealed to be Glee superstar and dancer Heather Morris.

Heather told host Joel Dommett: 'I can't believe I won! Oh my gosh! All those guesses made me think ''Wow! I could be so many people!''

Explaining the clues which viewers were fed along the way, she said: 'I was a dancer for Beyonce and I did the Single Ladies tour, that's why I did Single Ladies particularly because I was one of two backup dancers. I taught the 'Glee' dance and that's how I got the job because I had to teach the actors Single Ladies.

'The bowl of cereal was Cheerios because of I cheerio cheerleader on 'Glee.'

Heather - who has been married to Taylor Hubbell since 2015 and has Elijah, nine, and Owen, six, with him - went on to add that it was her children who inspired her to take part in the show in the first place because they are all "huge fans" of the ITV franchise.

She gushed: 'I have had the best time. This has made my heart so full. I feel like a little kid again dancing on stage. My kids at home, I have two boys at home and we are huge 'Masked' fans.

'My oldest - during the pandemic - would make masks himself. He made a Hippo mask out of cardboard so when I got the call for this I just said, ''Of course, I'm going to do this, my kids will be in awe of me!'''

Heather then closed out the series with an unmasked performance of her dance choreographed to Aretha Franklin's hit 'R.E.S.P.E.C.T'

The panel - Peter Crouch, Davina McCall, guest Dawn French, Oti Mabuse and John Bishop (in for Jonathan Ross) - oversaw proceedings as the series came to a thrilling close.
