The Weeknd officially cancelled his 'After Hours Til Dawn' Australian and New Zealand on Tuesday.

Ticketek informed all ticketholders of the cancellation news on Tuesday, before advising them of their refunds.

'Patrons should allow approximately 30 business days for the refund to appear in their account,' the email read.

'Please do not contact Ticketek regarding your refund, unless you have not received your refund after the time period above.'

The concert had previously been postponed in November leaving some fans chasing refunds instead of waiting for a rescheduled date.

Ticketek's 30 business day refund translates to six weeks and fans are less than impressed. 

'When they said 30 days...I thought a month, not six weeks,' one fan wrote on social media. 

'I got sick and tired of lack of updates or waiting for the rescheduled dates so I cancelled my tickets two weeks ago,' another revealed.

'I got my refund within three working days. And thank God. I had purchased the tickets for my teenage daughter's birthday and spent over $1000. Very disappointing,' commented another.

'finally getting a refund for my The Weeknd tickets I've been bothering them for like 3 months now.' 

Ticketek is encouraging ticket holders to join the waitlist for a forthcoming announcement, as they will have access to a priority pre-sale.

The Grammy winner was originally scheduled to perform in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane across November and December.

Fans suspected something was wrong when they discovered they could no longer purchase tickets to his show online.

Touring giant Live Nation Australia was quick to reassure fans they would announce the new tour dates as soon as possible.

The Weeknd last performed in Australia as part of his Starboy World Tour in 2017.
