The Weeknd wowed the crowd on Wednesday night as he hit the stage for the first of two concerts in Milan, Italy as part of his ongoing After Hours Til Dawn tour.

The Canadian musician — whose ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid is newly single — performed at the Ippodromo Snai La Maura, the racecourse track that is often used as a concert venue.

The hitmaker, 33, channeled Russell Crowe from Gladiator as he belted out hit after hit in an eerie chrome mask.

He paired the bizarre accessory with a white cloak layered over a beige tactical vest, a plain white tee and baggy pants.

To complete his stage look, the Flashing Lights singer slipped on a pair of stark white gloves and boots.

The Weeknd — born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye — wielded a futuristic silver mic stand during his stage time.

At one point during the sold-out show, he performed atop a platform and slowly positioned the mic stand above his head.

Abel briefly removed his mask and showed it off to concertgoers by holding it up in the air.

For a haunting feel, The Weeknd utilized dramatic red stage lights and an awe-inspiring visual of a Hajime Sorayama-inspired robot.

Other aesthetics for the stage included an inflatable moon and a bunch of backup dancers (called The Weeknd's 'Imperial Guards') donned in white outfits from head to toe where only their eyes were visible.

Following his first show in Milan, The Weeknd shared some footage of the concert in a video post on his Instagram account.

'Milan Back to Back… tonight 🇮🇹.' The 33-year-old wrote as the caption for his July 26 Instagram post.

The video showed close ups of the singer wearing the silver mask as fire erupted from the stage.

In addition to the video post, The Weeknd also uploaded some content on his Instagram Stories before and after the performance.

One post featured a photo from a scene of the Oscar-winning film Gladiator that showed Russell Crowe (who won the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance as Maximus, the film's protagonist) wearing a silver mask that resembled the mask that The Weeknd wore for the Milan show.

He also shared a video of himself with a police escort as he made his way to Ippodromo Snai La Maura.
