Дата публикации: 28-07-2026 15:00:00

Taking time out of EBAday 2026, Jonathan Cardwell, Business Development Lead at Banfico, joined FinextraTV to discuss the necessary strategies to make fraud verification a success. Cardwell began by explaining where Verification works particularly well, but also where it struggles to properly combat fraud to the nature of authorise push payment fraud - namely, that it's authorised by a verified person. He described the need to add friction into the process on a risk-based approach, to avoid too much disruption to customer experience. He describes verification, not as a silver bullet but as a critical bridge between fraud prevention and fraud detection.
