GM EV drivers can now find, start, and pay for charging at ChargePoint stations without leaving their EV brand’s app.

ChargePoint is now fully integrated into GM’s new Energy Pass app, which launched just a few weeks ago in the myChevrolet, myGMC, and myCadillac apps. It gives drivers access to ChargePoint’s DC fast chargers and Level 2 stations without having to set up and juggle another account and app.

ChargePoint has nearly 80,000 public charging ports in the US – around 75,000 Level 2 ports and more than 4,400 DC fast-charging ports, according to federal Alternative Fuels Data Center figures from early 2026.

Many of the ChargePoint stations available through Energy Pass also support Plug & Charge, so drivers can simply plug in and let the vehicle and charger handle authentication and payment.

As ChargePoint and GM’s other planned charging network integrations come online, GM expects Energy Pass to provide access to around 70% of all DC fast chargers in the US, based on current network expansion plans. The ChargePoint integration also gives GM drivers access to approximately 60% of US public Level 2 chargers.

For GM EV drivers, the payoff is straightforward: far more chargers in the app they already use, with no new account to create. ChargePoint’s arrival makes Energy Pass considerably more useful, and public charging a little smoother.
