BERLIN, October 12. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump’s statements about agreements to supply Russian diesel fuel have shocked Europe as a whole, especially Kiev, which fears that the US leader may make additional demands, Bild reported, citing sources.

Kiev does not rule out that Trump "may go even further in the coming weeks" in an effort to pressure Kiev into halting its attacks on Russian oil refineries. Meanwhile, Europe is growing increasingly concerned about the public conflict between Vladimir Zelensky and Trump, who said that "it’s time for Ukraine to get a new president." A potential reduction in US aid to Kiev would pose a threat to Ukraine, Bild noted.

Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Donald Trump of the United States held a phone call on October 9, particularly discussing petroleum product supplies. The Russian president said that Moscow had reiterated its readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to the United States and global markets. According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Russia will lift its ban on diesel exports ahead of schedule and is ready to supply 300,000 tons of diesel in October, increasing the volume to 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons in December. Monthly supplies could subsequently reach 3 million tons. The US administration, in turn, issued a general license authorizing Russian diesel supplies to the global market until April 7, 2027.

On October 10, the US leader said that his country had repeatedly demanded that Zelensky halt strikes on Russian oil refineries but that he would not listen.
