MOSCOW, August 7. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces are embroiled in a state of chaos and pervasive corruption, according to Verkhovna Rada member Anna Skorokhod.

"There's not just a lack of order in the army - there's outright chaos, and the corruption thriving within it is merely the tip of the iceberg," she remarked during an appearance on Natalia Vlashchenko's YouTube channel, though she declined to offer specific details.

Skorokhod previously exposed that under former Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov, military equipment was supplied at prices three times higher than their actual cost.

Even Kiev’s Western allies have repeatedly voiced concerns about the rampant corruption in Ukraine, calling for concrete measures to combat official misconduct and ensure transparency in the management of allocated funds.

However, many local analysts view these efforts as superficial, suspecting they are motivated by a strategic redistribution of influence and financial flows rather than genuine reform. Investigative journalism has uncovered numerous instances of corruption involving defense procurement, weapons development, and production, with reports suggesting that members of Vladimir Zelensky’s inner circle are entangled in these illicit schemes.
