The eight-day festival is now heading into its busiest period
Belfast was buzzing once again as thousands enjoyed day five of the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann as the festival enters its busiest period.
From Thursday right through until Sunday, August 9, peak crowds are expected to attend the event, as All-Ireland competitions get started on Friday.
The city centre will be packed over the weekend as Belfast embraces the last weekend of celebrations at the world’s biggest celebration of Irish traditional music and culture.
Additional late-night bus and train services from Translink will operate from this evening (Thursday 6 August), as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, with details of all routes and departure points available from translink.co.uk/fleadh.
The Belfast Live street-team were out and about on Thursday afternoon catching up with revellers enjoying the festivities, with plenty of people taking the chance to pose with our photo frame.
