Unauthorized charges at store / manager refuses to resolve

Дата публикации: 26-02-2020 20:02:36

On Black Friday, I and my three children spent the whole evening at Best Buy attempting to purchase a cell phone plan and three cell phones. I was approved for 99+ lines but 1/3 of the way through the process, the system would not allow us to continue, so I told the employee to cancel the order. She was unable to cancel it “due to the system being overloaded”. She said that she would do it he next day. I called the next day and she said it was reversed. Then I get a bill. I attempted to have the phone company cancel it. They said it was cancelled. The next month I get another bill. I called the phone company and they said Best Buy has to provide information in order to cancel it. I talked to an employee, the department manager, Tyler Tomlinson and the general manager, Ernest List. All three said that I would have to come back into the store. The problem with that is that it is a 100 mile round trip and would require that I close my business for the day. Ernest and Tyler said that they had a workaround. I gave them dates and times I would be available but it didn’t coincide with the times the store would be open. I told them to call me and I would try to answer, however, I never received a call. I just got a collection notice. Now Ernest List is refusing to speak to me and customer service will not give me the name of his supervisor or allow me to escalate it further. I have to pay over $800 for a phone I never had and a plan I never used and my credit has been affected. I tried the customer service number and they redirect me back to the store. Isn’t this theft and fraud???
