7:14 PM The Water Authority says it is aware that water outages and low-pressure issues impacting customers across Grand Cayman. It says its team is working to assess the cause of the issue and will be providing an update of when regular service will be restored as soon as possible. It is also reiterating that messages circulating that the Authority is shutting off the water are NOT true. Customers experiencing issues with their service is encouraged to inspect their pipes for any leaks and report them by calling the Authority's emergency hotline 946- HELP (946-4357)
6:56 PM The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA), which operates the Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) and the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA), has said flight operations have continued as normal. It confirmed that the airport terminal was evacuated and flights were interrupted due to Tuesday afternoon's earthquake. It said once the earthquake was over as part of business continuity, all airport facilities were inspected for damage including the runway, aprons and taxiways. Once it was confirmed that there was no damage to the airport terminal, flight operations have continued as normal.
