Study highlights how women deprioritise self-care as they juggle multiple roles at home and the workplace

One finding stands out in health-tech and wellness platform Livlong 365’s Workforce Health Index, derived from a large-scale annual health check-up programme conducted for one of its enterprise clients, screening 10,604 employees across 417 camps in tier 1–4 cities in India between January and March 2026. It finds that 34.7 per cent of the women screened are anaemic, compared to 7.5 per cent of men.

Beyond the numbers, the finding opens up a conversation about how many of the women who manage full-time jobs alongside a disproportionate share of household and caregiving responsibilities tend to deprioritise their own health check-ups.

Skilling in 5G

Ericsson and the Telecom Sector Skill Council have inaugurated a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Government ITI Govandi, Mumbai, aimed at equipping underserved and aspiring youth with industry-relevant skills in 5G and other emerging technologies.

The training will cover skills in 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), telecom product line assembly, and handheld device repair. Around 300 students are expected to benefit during the first year of the programme, with a focus on employability and job placements.

The initiative is aligned with broader efforts to strengthen India’s position as a global manufacturing hub.
