The outlook for the stock of Siemens Energy India (₹2,889) remains weak for the short term. Immediate support is at ₹2,785 and the next one is at ₹2,565. 

On the other hand, the nearest resistance is ₹3,010 followed by ₹3,280. We expect the stock to remain under pressure as long as it rules below ₹3,280.

F&O pointers: Siemens Energy October futures closed at ₹2,900.20 and November futures at ₹2,909.80 against the spot close of ₹2,889. The premium signals the existence of long positions. 

Option trading indicates that the stock may move in the ₹2,800-3300 range. As this was included in the F&O list only during the current series, the options, especially farther month one, are not active.

Strategy: Consider buying 2900-put on Siemens Energy India. The put option closed with a premium of ₹74.25.

As the market lot is 175 shares, this strategy would cost traders ₹12,993.75. This would be the maximum loss and that will occur if the stock remains above ₹2,900 by the end of the expiry. On the other hand, profit potentials are high if the stock surges sharply.

Traders can exit the trade with a profit or a loss of ₹1,000, whichever occurs first, as we have only just six days of trading left for the current series. Ignore this strategy if the stock opens below ₹2,725 or above ₹2,950 on Monday.
