The Princess of Wales demonstrated her timeless love for suit jackets as she stepped out in a striking Ralph Lauren piece on Tuesday.

Kate was a vision in green as she and the Prince of Wales paid a visit to Wakefield, Yorkshire, where they surprised Sir Kevin Sinfield following his third ultramarathon in three days in memory of Rob Burrow. 

The former Leeds Rhino player was greeted by Kate and William as he crossed the finish line at DIY Kitchens Stadium. Shortly beforehand, the royal couple paid a visit to AMT Headingley Rugby Stadium, the home of the Rhinos, in Leeds.

Kate was all smiles as she stepped out for the occasion in a Ralph Lauren Camden Cashmere Jacket in Dark Racing Green, which retails for almost £3,100 and serves as a signature piece in her royal wardrobe.

The beautifully tailored, double-breasted blazer was previously sported by Kate when she attended the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow over the summer - though the jacket's buttons appeared to have been altered slightly on this occasion. 

On Tuesday, Kate paired the green statement piece with JOSEPH's Silk-Blend tank top and a pair of Roland Mouret 'Axon' Black Wide-Leg Trousers. 

Tying the look together, she opted for Gianvito Rossi Lyell Leather ankle boots.  The future Queen accessorised with Mappin and Webb's 'Empress' Diamond Carriage Earrings. 

First debuted by Kate at Princess Charlotte's 2015 christening, the royal has worn them more than 30 times since.
